The Sun, Mercury, and Ketu are all in the sign of Aries right now. The Sun went into the sign of Aries on March 20th, the same day there was a Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees of Pisces (just before the Sun went into Aries).
On April 4th, there will be a Lunar eclipse on the Aries/Libra axis at 14 degrees of Libra.
Learn what this means in the Podcast Interview I did of my good friend and astrologer, Brenda Black. She is an eclipse expert because an eclipse is what brought her into astrology!
It’s a very dramatic story and she tells us this story and much more about eclipses, including how these two eclipses may affect you for the next six months.

Sun, Mercury & Ketu in Aries
The Sun is in it’s exaltation sign in Aries and it marks the beginning of spring. Aries is a cardinal, or moveable, sign and represents the tremendous energy of nature to make everything bloom. New life if bursting forth everywhere!
Aries is ruled by Mars, the logical problem-solving planet, a fire-element sign that is energized by it’s inspired ideas. Aries has the pleasure of knowing that all it has to do is simply follow what is in its thoughts.
The Sun here is best able to express it’s Sun qualities; noble, inspired, self-sacrificing, creative, logical, and single-minded, able to focus and be alone for long periods of time in order to fulfill it’s inspired goals.
Being with Mercury, you will be perfecting some kind of skill that is related to the house that is ruled by Aries (get your birth chart PDF download HERE for free if you don’t know what house that is).
Ketu, the south node of the Moon, is a scrutizing energy and is related to spirituality. Ketu with the Sun and Mercury is reminding us that we are not what we do in this world, we are eternal beings that have intrinsic value regardless of our worldly titles.
Ketu can cause you to doubt yourself (because you are scrutinizing yourself in an intense manner) and hold you back when you want to be acting with confidence.
The way around that is to not be ego-directed, but divine-directed and trust that you are doing what you are supposed to be doing when you follow the adventure and excitement of your inspiration.
People most affected by all this activity on the Aries/Libra axis are Aries Ascendant, Sun, Moon, and Atmakaraka* people, as well as Libra Ascendant, Sun, Moon, and Atmakaraka people.
There will be lots going on in the house ruled by Aries in your birth chart even if you are not an Aries or Libra Sun, Moon, Ascendant or Atmakaraka.
Following your most inspired goals will lead to fulfillment because Venus is in Taurus right now until April 12th and Taurus is the second sign from Aries.
Mars, the ruler of Aries, has just entered the sign of Taurus too, which is a relationship and wealth sign.
You could acquire a new vehicle (Venus), a new relationship, a healing treatment that really works, or a source of income that nourishes (Taurus) you and your loved ones for a long time to come.
Mars and Venus together in Taurus is a very romantic combo bringing excitement and fulfillment in love. Though there may be some frustration and/or fireworks (Mars), Venus is stronger than Mars right now (and Venus heals Mars), so love will win out.
Full Moon in Hasta Nakshatra
The full Moon is in the sign of Libra, power sign for Venus because of it’s symbol, the scales. Venus helps us to make good choices, to evaluate the worth of anything, and to choose the path that will lead to the highest level of fulfillment.
Libra is about relationships and doing or choosing what is best for the relationship versus what is best for only one person in the relationship.
Hasta nakshatra is even ruled by the Moon! What a fortunate coincidence as Hasta, residing in the constellation of Corvus, the Crow, looks like an open hand giving blessings to humanity.
The power of Hasta is to manifest what we are seeking and to place it in our hands.
The deity of this lunar mansion is Savitar, the Sun god who imparts creative and transforming energy. With the Sun in Aries, the Sun’s most powerful sign, opposite the Moon in Libra, this is a very powerful full Moon!
Hasta emphasizes that success comes when we focus on the spiritual path, as it’s primary motivation is spiritual liberation, or another way of saying it – freedom.
Put yourself in a green, lush environment if you can, it will help you to fully “see” what the full Moon in Hasta is trying to show you, or rather, hand to you!
The New Moon in Nakshatra of Aswini
Here is another chance to get the message that the Sun in Aries has been giving you this month. The new Moon signifies yet another new beginning in the sign that is all about birth and rebirth.
Ketu is still in Aries too and will be having an introverting affect on the Moon making us go inward to examine our hearts and minds.
Just remember that’s impossible to live up to the standards of the Sun and to use this time to think on what you are most inspired towards. It’s going towards it and doing it that matters, not getting it perfect.
Ashwini nakshatra is ruled by Ketu, so it will be with it’s ruler! Ashwini is about Dharma, doing what you were made to do. The symbol is a male horse and if you say the word Ashwini out loud a few times, you’ll see it sounds like a horse whinny’ing! (This is just one of the ways I entertain myself as an astrologer).
Activation of primal forces and the awakening of consciousness is associated with this lunar mansion. Ashwini is in the Ram constellation and is called the “star of transport.”
Playful and childlike, a dauntless spirit is expressed here. Having fun (yes, “horsing around”) and starting a journey is perfect when the Moon is in Ashwini.
The ruling deities, the Ashwins, are divine mystical doctors who ride in a golden chariot, bringing light, happiness and bliss to everyone. The power of this nakshatra is to quickly heal and reach things and it’s a great time to administer medicine or for performing healing work.
This is also a good time for learning astrology or astronomy (Ketu), planting and sowing, or starting a business!
