Venus in Leo: The Mane Attraction

Venus w Leo symbolVenus in our birth chart and the sign it is in, represents how we make ourselves attractive to magnetize people to us for relationships. Venus is our magnetizer and is part of our feminine energy side (men too).

Venus shows how we relate to people and our romantic, affectionate, and emotional expression. Venus is also how we express our aesthetic sense in our dress, interior design, things we like, and Venus is about what we value.

How Venus in Leo Attracts

Venus in Leo is regal as Leo is a sign of royalty. Venus in Leo people are often regal-looking too, and they may find themselves being referred to as “queen, princess, prince, or king” by their lovers. They are noticeably feline in the way they move, and they usually have great posture and glorious hair.

In the sign of Leo, Venus is creative as well as magnetic and this is how they are attractive. Venus in this sign is very demonstrative and generous in their affections, you know it when they care for you, you never have to wonder where you stand with them.

Mutual respect is very important to Venus in Leo, and the Venus in Leo person has to respect the person they are in relationship with. This person is proud and desires admiration for their beauty and their behavior, and their pride is hurt when they are rejected.

Venus in Leo people want their partners to have a lot to bring, either in terms of wealth, beauty, knowledge, or other resources, they like people who stand out in some way, and this is exactly the type of person they tend to get involved with.

The Venus in Leo Woman

The women usually have beautiful, full manes and like to keep their hair looking great even into old age. The gorgeous older people with the bright, shiny, stunning white hair are probably Venus Leo people. They stand out in a crowd (shining, naturally) and you find yourself doing a double-take because they are so beautiful.

The women tend to be glamorous and dramatic in their dress and general aesthetic. Their spiritual role in the cosmic dance of the signs, is to demonstrate healthy self-respect and to show us how to let the divine within shine through naturally, without shame or false modesty, just like any kind of cat would, wild or domesticated.

Cats don’t think about whether or not they are being selfish or egotistical, they are totally natural in their beauty and grace, which is exactly why we love them.

These queenly women will usually love luxury, gifts (especially gold jewelry) and compliments, and they are equally as

generous in return with their admiration, respect, loyalty and affection.

She likes a man who has a vision, a mission for his life, she must respect you if she will ever be able to love you. She will want you to stand out in some way as she is attracted to someone with the ability to help her in life, especially socially.

If you treat her well, remembering her queenly spirit, and if you respect yourself and love what you do, no matter how humble your career may actually be, you will be well rewarded. If you’re proud of yourself in a healthy way, she will be proud of you too.

The Venus in Leo Man

Venus in Leo men tend to like to do things in a big way, will be extravagant in courtship, and will share their vision of a glamorous and meaningful future together. They will speak of the kingdom you will share, and the great things you’ll do together. He will like to think of you as his queen and he will want you to act like one.

He has a commanding presence, especially if his Sun is also in the sign of Leo, and a great deal of warmth. He is usually extraverted and everyone at a gathering will usually be gathered around him hoping to talk to him personally (when Venus in Leo is focused on you, you feel important, respected, and like royalty yourself).

Venus in a man’s chart represents the wife or the girlfriend, so he will tend to look for a woman who has a regal bearing and who has something creative she wants to express in the world. She may be a career woman, self-employed, or a woman who is engaged in some kind of creative expression.

The woman will want to be respected and admired for her accomplishments too, even though she will first want to be cherished as a feeling-based woman.

She will usually not be the traditional kind of woman, and she often will not have as much time for her man as she

would like to. She will likely hire someone to clean her house and maybe even cook if she doesn’t have the time to do it herself, as she still wants to provide a clean and sensual arena for her man, just as most other women do.

The man with Venus in Leo may sometimes wish he had a more traditional woman, but he loves her high-status ways too because it makes him feel special that she, this glorious, feline creature, choose him to spend her life with.

She will not put up with any kind of mistreatment and she will withdraw her considerable warmth if she is displeased with how she is being treated – she absolutely hates being taken for granted. The man with Venus in Leo will actually like this about her and will even brag to other men that his woman doesn’t put up with any nonsense from him!

The Challenges of Venus in Leo

Venus in Leo is not one of the easier sign placements for Venus because the Sun is about the Self, doing your own thing and it’s about doing rather than being (masculine energy). While Venus is about relationship, which is about an even exchange of energy. Venus is feminine in nature and is more about being than about doing. Venus is about personal desire, while Leo is about dharma.

This tension between the sign of Leo and the planet Venus can create a person who feels pulled back and forth between their sense of purpose and their relationships. If they spend more time on their dharma, they feel guilty about neglecting their relationships, but if they spend more time on their relationships, they start feeling that they’re wasting time and that should be working on something.

The self vs partners struggle can manifest by the relationship revolving more around the Venus in Leo person and their desires, needs, wants, plans, etc. Their partner can feel invisible next to this shining star of a person, though they often genuinely enjoy serving, helping, and making the Venus in Leo person happy and will tend to make a career out of nurturing the relationship.

Interestingly, all the signs, except for Scorpio, love doing for Leo, so, it tends to work out for everyone involved.

NEXT UP, the Sign of Virgo, particularly Mercury in Virgo where Mercury is exalted, and Venus in Virgo where Venus is debilitated. I will also discuss Mercury Rx in Virgo too.
